IT’S YOUR LIFE!
The importance of God’s words to us cannot be overestimated! God sometimes speaks to us directly through his Holy Spirit, sometimes through his Word, sometimes through a person and other times through an event or life circumstances. But when he speaks, don’t take it for granted…it is your life!!!
Deuteronomy 32:45-47 When Moses finished reciting all these words to all Israel, he said to them, "Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. They are not just idle words for you--they are your life. By them, you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”
Look at the words Solomon gave to his son:
Proverbs 4:20-22 My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body.
One of the greatest privileges you will ever have is recognizing and hearing the voice of God! When you hear, it is of utmost importance that you don’t take it lightly and that you obey what you’ve heard! Matthew 4:4 says, “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”The Greek word for “proceeds” is in the present tense and signifies that God is continually speaking; words are continually coming from God’s mouth to us. God is speaking – are you listening? Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice.” (Jn 10:27)
It will take all eternity for you to comprehend the depth of God’s love for you! He wants to bless you more than you want to be blessed! He wants you to know the secrets of living in his abundance in every area of your life! It is so important to take time to quiet your mind to focus on him alone so that you may hear his voice!
