I WILL!
Years ago I wrote a song based on my experience with this Scripture...
Jeremiah 30:21 Their leader will be one of their own; their ruler will arise from among them. I will bring him near and he will come close to me, for who is he who will devote himself to be close to me?' declares the LORD.
When I read the words, “for who is he who will devote himself to be close to me?’ Declares the LORD,” My heart cried out and in brokenness and weeping I began to write a song that starts out saying, "I will, I will, oh here I am, Lord I’m running straight into your arms again. I will, I will, I will seek your face - oh Lord come close to me, I want to know you oh Lord, here I am.
I am convinced that God longs to do great things through us his children, but the only way this is possible is for us to have an “I will” in our hearts towards God. There must be an unreserved “yes Lord” in our will! Sometimes this is not so easy! Look at what King David said; "I WILL bless the Lord at ALL times, His praise will always be on my lips." Ps 34:1
There is something about saying "I WILL"! No matter how you feel...Praise Him and thank Him anyway.
Ps 96:1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
Isaiah 61:3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion– to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
Will you? He so loves you! He is so worthy! Come on… let the praises of God be stirred up within you right now! Say it and believe it!!! Be determined and say…
I WILL!
