RING A BELL WITH YOU
God never wastes words! When you read the Bible, know that every last word and every last number carries great significance! The following is an excellent example of this.
Exodus 28:31-35 "Make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth, with an opening for the head in its center. There shall be a woven edge like a collar around this opening so that it will not tear. Make pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn around the hem of the robe, with gold bells between them. The gold bells and the pomegranates are to alternate around the hem of the robe. Aaron must wear it when he ministers. The sound of the bells will be heard when he enters the Holy Place before the LORD and when he comes out, so that he will not die.
Pomegranates speak of the fruit of the Spirit bringing fertility and the release of life which always comes from and through the blood. Golden bells had to be making noise every time Aaron entered into the holy place and every time he went out so that he would not die. This represents a pure heart that passionately releases the sound of praise and worship as it enters into holy communion with God. When we enter the place of intimacy with God, we enter by the blood of the Lamb, bearing the fruit of God's Spirit through passionate worship and praise! Wow!
The true work of Christianity is God working through us – not us working for God! That is a statement you don't want ever to forget! It’s time for us to live in the freedom bought for us by the blood of Jesus! It is time for worship and thankfulness to be our mode of operation throughout our day! It's time for the work of God to flow through us! You can rest assured that it will never be about what we can do; it will always be about what he can and will do through us! The place of praise and worship is the protocol for today! My thoughts are with you today. I am praying that this simple Encouraging Word will stir you towards more intimacy with God!
