SECOND CHARACTERISTIC OF A DREAMER
The fantastic story of the praying, daring and anointed John Knox, the Scottish clergyman, and leader of the Protestant Reformation is stunning. He was imprisoned during the late 1540s for supporting the Protestant Reformation in Scotland but never ceased to keep praying “Lord, give me Scotland, or I die.” His powerful prayers were heard by God and by the time he died in 1572, the gospel had revolutionized Scotland, and even the Scottish Parliament had adopted the Reformation doctrines. He had such a great impact that even some of the first missionaries to America were from Scotland, being unmistakably influenced by his life and ministry. The Queen of Scotland was reputed as saying, "I fear the prayers of John Knox more than all the armies of England.” Many believe that this mighty man of God was the tipping point that ended the war with Europe.

Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips, my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.
There is no doubt about it! Those whom God will use significantly will be those whose life is grounded in prayer! I am trusting God today that these simple words will stir you to go deeply into PRAYER…the...
