HE IS THE ETERNAL GOD!

Who we see God as determines how we see ourselves and determines our overall outlook on life. God is not a man... He is God.

Moses, by the Spirit of God, declared, "God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? Num 23:19 NLT

God’s eternally pure nature and perfect character cannot mix with darkness and sin. This is precisely why he sent Jesus Christ to pay for all of our wrongdoing. God passionately loves us – literally to the point that we are everything he has ever wanted. Meditate on that for a moment – you are everything God has ever wanted! Even before the universe was created, he was thinking and dreaming about you.

Ephesians 1:4-5 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

Please do not forget the fact that God hates sin and everything that causes people to sin with a perfect hatred!

Isaiah 61:8 “For I, the LORD, love justice. I hate robbery and wrongdoing. I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them.

Apostle Paul spoke of this to the Corinthians when he penned this statement. "Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry.”  We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died.  We should not test the Lord, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes." 1Cor 10:7-9

God is the eternal judge and righteous lawgiver of the universe. There is a heaven, and there is a hell because there is a subsequent reward granted to those who believe and those who do not believe. The Bible clearly tells us that God doesn’t want anyone to spend eternity without him. 2Pet 3:9 John 3:16 says, “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”

We are living in a day when many people, who claim Christianity, have not taken God and his covenant of blood seriously. Because of our sin, the wrath of God was released upon Jesus. The depth of God’s love for you and me drove him to the unthinkable, the crucifixion of his only son in exchange for us. And what would be our part in this deal? Simply believe! Through faith, complete perfection is granted to us by God through the sacrifice of Jesus, and this must not be taken lightly! God gave everything to have you as his own, and he is expecting nothing less than for you to give your life for him! He expects you to accept and believe his perfect love for you and to walk in the power it affords.

The gravity of the choice in front of you cannot be overstated. Please do not take God for granted. Please do not take the blood of his Son lightly. May you know the blessing of seeing God as he is... both the terror of his eternal pure and honest judgment and his awesome and forever love for you and me. May you live today not only knowing He loves you, but that He is also the One who owns your eternity. Consider with great carefulness that, he is God…
