HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS

Trying to do what is right without the power of God is like trying to swim underwater for 5 miles without coming up for breath. Even if you are a world-class swimmer, every minute or two, you will need to come up for air. So it is with many of us who have often tried to do it good enough to earn God’s favor. Living right or righteously is an act of God within us and is accessed only by faith.

Romans 1:17 For in the gospel, a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

Galatians 3:10-11 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith."

The life of trying to be good enough to be right with God is a life of condemnation, failure, and ultimate destruction. But, the life of childlike faith causes us to live heaven’s life right here on earth! When we believe God and surrender to his incredible love, we inherit and experience his free gift of righteousness granted to us through the blood of Jesus. This is when powerful things happen! This is when real life begins! This is when heaven's right way of living flows through us instead of us trying to make it happen. May you step into God's plan today and live his life of faith!

I feel so honored to be sharing truth with you every day, and today I’m praying that you fully surrender to being loved, forgiven and free! I am praying that you will no longer be swimming underwater, trying to be good enough. But instead, you are walking on water, freely receiving the righteousness that is already yours through faith in Jesus! This kind of life can be your reality. And yes, faith alone causes you to live in…
