God wants to empower in the area of your emotions this year! If you are like most, you have experienced plenty of trauma, pain, and rejection. These experiences can leave a person with damaged emotions and feelings. God passionately wants you to feel like he feels so that you can live as he lives! Feelings are like gas in the car; without them, you won’t go very far. Your feelings are catalysts and will either demote you or promote you! Listen to what apostle Peter says regarding the suffering we experience from insults, threats and the like.

1 Peter 2:21-24  For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.   He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone.  He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.  He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds, you are healed.

Jesus went to the cross for the healing of our hearts and emotions. God has made a way through the blood of Jesus for us to live in complete healing from the wounds of the past. This may sound trite to some, but resting in God will be at the center of your healing! To begin this process, you must consent to the righteousness that is yours through the sacrifice of Jesus. To be healed, you must renew your mind with this truth! You must receive that, because of the blood of Jesus, God sees you as perfect! 

You and I have already failed the test of being righteous by our works. This is why Jesus took the test for us and now offers us his perfect score! He came to earth and aced the test of complete and perfect obedience to the law on our behalf. Once completed, he took us with him when he was crucified in the flesh. In doing this he freed us from the laws that you were bound to. Now he desires for you to see yourself as one who has also aced the test through God's undeserved favor! 

Apostle Paul told us in Romans 12:2 that we would be transformed the renewing of our minds. In other words, we can become something completely different by thinking differently – metamorphosis! It is so critical to choose to renew your mind by focusing on God’s truth! Through the application of this truth, this year is destined to be the best year you’ve ever had! Those who achieve their goals and dreams are those who accept their worth! It’s time to step into the winner's circle! Your name has been drawn from the hat – your name is being called! Oh yes! It’s your time to be…
