MAKING GOALS AND ACHIEVING THEM! (PART 8)

One of the most significant road blocks to a blessed life is believing that we are worthy. Many find their value in what others think of them or in their own performance. This is not God’s way! I love how Colossians 2:3 reads in the Mirror Bible. It says, “Everything that could possibly define our wealth is hidden in Christ. In this place of our union in him, the complete treasure of all wisdom and knowledge is sourced.”

Your value is found in God, not in your performance or in other’s opinions! It is most interesting that Jesus taught us to pray through these words: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:9b-10 (NIV)

This scripture implies that God wants us to have what he has and live how he lives. As you can imagine, there is no poverty, sickness, disease or any failure in heaven. Jesus said,"If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”  Matthew 7:11

Imagine that, if you know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more does God want to give good gifts to you! Apostle Paul said, "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” Romans 8:32

It is time for us to believe that we are who God says we are - His children - His favorites! Since he told us to pray  “thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven,” wouldn’t it makes sense that God wants you and I to live on this earth with the authority, dominion, and power of heaven! Oh, that we would take the time to consider the heart of God towards us and then do what he is telling us to do!

God has put the ball of planning and organizing in our court. Prov 16:1a says, “To man belongs the plans for the heart...”  It is time for us to grab hold of what is supposed to be ours and live like the kings and priests God ordained us to be! The beginning of having a greater life is believing that it is God’s will and that you can! God wants it more than you want it – so, put Him first in all that you do and start…
