God is profound and glorious in every way and longs to share all that he is with us! He wants us to prosper in every area of our life, just as he is prosperous. Many times, people equate the term prosperity with money. Though money is a part of prosperity, it is the least significant because it is a byproduct of real prosperity. So, what is true prosperity, you may ask? True prosperity is when a person’s mind is controlled by God’s faith and love from which all other forms of prosperity flow. The Bible declares that the goal of our faith in Christ is this kind of prosperity. 

1Pet 1:8-9 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 

This is why the New Testament focuses so much on the transformation of our minds. (Rom 12:2) It tells us to set our minds and affections on things above, not on things of the earth. (Col 3:1-3) It is so important to God that we keep our minds on things above that he said this: 

Phil 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.

Right-thinking is the way of faith, and without faith, it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6 Faith is a way of thinking and perceiving the world you live in. If you can change the way you think, it will change the way you feel. If you can change the way you feel, it will change the way you act. If you can change the way you act, you will change your entire destiny. Someone once said, “Your attitude determines your altitude.” This is so true. 

Ps 25:12-13 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land.

2 Corinthians 9:11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us, your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

It is not God’s heart for us to be prosperous only in our finances; he wants us to be made rich in every way. The purpose of the wealth of God is always for the empowering of others! 

Thinking God’s thoughts is what can launch you into the extraordinary life God has for you! God’s manual (the Bible) clearly spells out God’s precious thoughts towards you! It is God’s will that you would live wholly consumed by his love for you! Resting in the love that God has for you is the key that unlocks the door for you to receive all that God is and has! 

You were created for prosperity because God is a God of prosperity, and you are his child! May today be a defining moment for you! Please understand, it is your thinking that determines your future! 

May today be a defining moment for you! May your eyes be opened to a new way of thinking inside of the love of God! May you surrender to a life of believing in and fully trusting the love and life God has for you! The word of God makes it clear – you are…
