BOLD & STRONG

God loves it when we are bold enough to step out into what he has called us to do! Being courageous is an act of faith, not a stroke of luck. Just as God commanded the Israelites to be strong and courageous, so he is speaking to you today.

Josh 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD, your God will be with you wherever you go.

Why did Joshua say that they should be strong and courageous? Was it because they were already so strong and powerful? No! It was because the Lord their God would be with them wherever they would go! Therefore, the way to be bold has nothing to do with the natural; it has everything to do with faith! We must believe God! Just because a person believes God to be omnipresent does not mean that they believe he will protect them. Your safety is substantiated by knowing that your God, who is ever-present, is in love with you! Apostle John declared, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18 Surrender to the love of God leaves no room for fear to exist! It’s one thing to read what someone has written, and it is indeed another thing to know the character of the one that wrote it! When God says that he loves you so much that he was willing to sacrifice his son for you, it’s not something trivial – it means that there is nothing in all of the world that is more important than you! He loves you so much that he has declared, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Heb 13:5) There is no place you can go where God is not with you! He was there before you got there, and he will be there after you have left. The Bible declares that he is everywhere present, an ever-present help in times of trouble. (Ps 46:1)

Go ahead, be bold! Trust God enough to step out and obey his still, small voice. You’ll be amazed at what God will do through you as you trust him. When he gives you a task to accomplish, you can be sure he will release whatever is necessary for you to finish the assignment.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Great things are ahead for those who believe, that means you! My prayer for you today is that you would surrender to our awesome God of love! My declaration over your life today is that you are indeed…
