WHAT IF

We know that the plot of the antichrist is raging in our world. Jesus said, "Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with Me, scatters." Matthew 12:30 Those who are aligning themselves with the world's agenda that opposes God and his word are those that Jesus was speaking of. "Whoever is not with me is against me."

Make no mistake; the answer to our world has never been politics. It has always been those who pray! Politics and government reveal the level of spirituality amongst the people in the land. When God's people don't operate as the salt and light God has called them to be, rules, regulations, and policies will be set into place that directly oppose God and his word.

Oh…What if God's people would really pray? What if we would seek His face and turn from our own godless and faithless ways? What healing and revival would take place, what prosperity and blessing!

2 Chron 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Wow! Promises in the word of God like this are so encouraging to me! There is one thing I know for sure I can do today— Pray! A great quote from the book The Kneeling Christian says this, "The secret of all failure is the failure to pray in secret." Apostle Paul often asked for prayer from those he was writing to. He knew prayer is what would change things, and he needed their firepower!

And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God's mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. Eph 6:19 (NLT)

Prayer is so essential that the prophet Samuel considered it a sin not to pray for Israel's people.

1 Sam 12:23 As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right.

Can God call upon you to be a part of His prayer team today? May we humble ourselves and pray and seek His face and turn from our own self-righteous ways! The best thing we can do is leave the life of trusting ourselves and our own efforts and resolutely choose to trust God alone! This means prayer! What would happen if we would really pray? Just Imagine…
