Does praise and worship rise up within you when you meditate on who God is? Wow! Take a look at a few of the things the Bible declares about our God: Faithful Friend, Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, our Healer, Provider, the Mender of our broken hearts, our Savior, Redeemer, Holy, Pure, Forgiving, Merciful, Gentle, Powerful, the Judge of all mankind, the Creator of all things, etc., etc., etc.!  WOW!  Our hearts cry out in praise and honor!  Oh God, there is none like you; there is no one like you oh God!

1 Samuel 2:2  "There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

Psalms 86:8-12  Among the gods, there is none like you, O Lord; no deeds can compare with yours. 9 All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, O Lord; they will bring glory to your name.

10 For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God. 11 Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. 12 I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart;  I will glorify your name forever

Exodus 15:11  “Who among the gods is like you, O Lord?  Who is like you– majestic in holiness, awesome in glory,  working wonders?

Have you ever questioned why we worship God? Does God need something from us? I assure you, God is not insecure, needing attention or needing our encouragement or empowerment! No! He is God! Even though worship is where we declare God’s glory and his goodness, worship is where our connection with God becomes so intimate that he is able to impart into us the very life of heaven. 

The more we know God, the more we see that he is everything we have ever needed and that there is no one like him and there is none that can compare! It kind of reminds me of tithing. God does not need our money but instead longs for the opportunity to release his blessing to our lives. His desire to love us defies description – it is incomprehensible and beautiful beyond our wildest imagination! We are everything God has ever wanted, and his greatest longing is to give us all that he is! Absolutely astounding! His beauty and worth are beyond description! Meditation upon him will leave you speechless, where all you can say is…
