Part 3 

Most do not understand the full gravity of the unbreakable covenants God has made with man and, therefore, do not step into the blessings guaranteed therein. As we discussed yesterday, God made an unbreakable covenant with Abram that can have a profound effect on our lives today, if we know about it and apply it. During God’s first recorded encounter with Abraham (Abram) found in Genesis chapter twelve, God made the following promises to Abraham: 

1. I will make you into a great nation. 

2. I will bless you. 

3. I will make your name great. 

4. You will be a blessing. 

5. I will bless those who bless you. 

6. I will curse those who curse you. 

7. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you. 

When God blessed Abraham at this time, he was not only thinking about Abraham, he was thinking about you. Carefully consider the following Scripture. 

Galatians 3:14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit. 

God. in his passion and love for this world, was foreseeing the day when people like you and me would, by faith, receive the promise of the Spirit and so step into the very blessing that God gave to Abraham. Apostle John wrote, “I wish above all things my brothers that you would prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers.” The prosperity that God has intended for you and I to step into is directly tied to the health of our soul. Our soul is our mind, will, and emotions. Therefore, faith is necessary for us to tap into prosperity God has intended! 

Maybe you have been convinced that God is displeased with you, and you are living trapped by religion, living a performance-based Christianity. Maybe you have believed that your failures have given God a suitable reason for leaving you or excluding you from his family or removing his blessing from your life and ministry. I want you to know that all of that is a lie because of the unbreakable covenant that God began with Abraham but has extended to you.
