The third characteristic of a dreamer is the ability to see the unseen, and this is what we call vision. From a grand palace to a magnificent painting, every great accomplishment in life was first conceived in the mind of a man. Vision produces inspiration and drive because it sees on the inside what you can accomplish on the outside! You have to see something on the inside before you can ever obtain it on the outside. This is why prayer and meditation upon the things of God are indispensable! It is during moments of intimacy with God that great ideas and life-changing vision are received.

I am always inspired and challenged by the fact that “Jesus often withdrew to lonely places to pray.” Luke 5:16 The word of God tells us that “God calls those things that are not as though they already were.” Rom 4:17 A life of prayer and intimacy with God will cause you to see things that are not in declare them as if they already were. This is how the vision of God operates. Proverbs 29:18 says,” where there is no vision, the people perish.” The Hebrew word for “perish” means to have no restraint or discipline in life. Vision is what will make you energized to accomplish great things.

Do you know what God wants you to do? It is essential to pray and ask God for what his desires and purposes for you are. Once you know God’s purpose for you, you must keep that vision before you every single day! The habit of maintaining that vision before you every day will be the secret to a life of success and significance!

Do you have a vision for this year? Please don’t think your dreams for this year and the future have to be something huge! And please, do not compare your goals with others! A person who acts upon a small dream is a person who will accomplish big dreams!
