I don’t know about you, but I enjoy having variety in my life! :-) God is a God of variety! God is always doing something new. When things are new, it creates a level of excitement. When Thomas Edison unleashed the innovation of the lightbulb, it changed everything! Having light opened up brand-new ways to accomplish things in life. It wasn’t easy to accomplish, but it was so worth it!

God has given you gifts and talents, and he has placed a unique calling upon your life. His great plan for your life is not stagnant; he has many new and exciting ways to accomplish his dreams for your life! By immersing yourself in your calling, listening to his voice, and practicing, you will see great success.

1Timothy 4:14-15 “Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress.”

1Kings 3:12 “Behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you.”

Innovation is the sixth characteristic of a dreamer. It is essential to change it up– Do something different than you’ve ever done before. You have heard the saying, “Variety is the spice of life. If everything were the same, how boring life would be! How much joy and fulfillment is realized by those who avail themselves to the richness of food varieties, colors, seasons, races, etc. Our church is a multicultural church, and I love it that way! The beautiful things that I have learned from those different from me have made me a richer man!

God is always doing new things, and he loves it when we do new things and seek new ideas! No snowflake is the same; no grain of sand is the same; no sunset exactly like another. If we are going to tap into all the ways God wants to use our lives, we must be those who live on the cutting edge.

God wants to give you a wise and discerning heart that enables you to see new ways to bring spice to what God has called you to do. Practicing and immersing yourself in the gifting and calling and purpose that God has given you will open up new avenues of increase and significance!
