THOSE WHO KNOW THEIR GOD Part 21

“Those who know their God will be strong and do great things.” Dan 11:32

WHAT DO PEOPLE DO TO KNOW GOD?

Jesus’ earthly father was a carpenter, and more than likely, Jesus worked with him in their family business. Jesus, you could say, was a businessman. Though Jesus worked in his father’s business, Jesus was most concerned about his heavenly Father’s business. Yes, God is a businessman too, and his business is people.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever would believe in him would not perish but have everlasting life.

We often struggle with those who have done us wrong, but God, in his great love, paid for our sin with the life of his own Son.

Romans 5:15-17  But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man (Adam), how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16 Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17 For if by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

I want you to think about this; God gave us the entirety of the Bible so that we could understand and receive his incredible love. When God said that he loved the world so much that he sent his only Son, do you believe that includes you? Do you realize that God’s entire existence is wrapped up in you? You are his business! He is all about you! He is the one who knitted you together in your mother’s womb. Psalm 139:13 Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, he knew you. Jeremiah 1:5

So what do people do to know God? They surrender to the truth. Experiencing the glorious life of God comes from believing and receiving the love of God. Have you surrendered to the love of God? Do you believe that all your sins, mistakes, and failures are paid for? The greatest longing of God is that you would accept all that he has offered to you through Jesus!

So here’s the question; Is Jesus your answer to an abundant life? Are you living in the reality of his love and watchful care for you? Do you know that he has a plan for you? Do you know that everything is going to be all right?

So what do people do to know God?
