“Those who know their God will be strong and do great things.” Dan 11:32

WHAT DO PEOPLE DO TO KNOW GOD?

Today we will continue our study on what people do to know God. To go deeper in this study, we must understand that the Bible is the roadmap to where we are going. It is the blueprint for what our fully-built lives will look like. When a builder is about to start a project, he studies the blueprint very carefully so that when he is done, what he has built looks exactly like the blueprint. He examines the blueprint carefully and strictly follows its plan so that the building will be correctly constructed.

So it is with us. We must carefully study our blueprint, the Bible, and we must steadfastly follow it so that our lives will be a success! Jesus said, “If you hold tightly to my teaching, then truly you are my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:31-32

The ultimate goal is freedom; freedom from fear, freedom from condemnation, and freedom from self. As a builder continues his project, you will hear him continually discussing with his workers about what the blueprint says. All his decisions are made based upon the blueprint. This must be our mindset regarding the Word of God. All our daily decisions must be based upon the word of God. Are you continually considering what the word of God says about your current situations? As you live your life, everything you do should run through the filter of the word. God’s word will tell you which things will bring success and which will be failure.

For a builder, adhering to the blueprint specs is not a religious duty but rather a safeguard for attaining success. The more the builder looks at the blueprint, the more he will be confident about where he is headed with the project.

Romans 10:17 Consequently, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

The more you look at the word of God as your blueprint for life, the more you will be confident (have faith) to accomplish God’s great plan for your life. The faith of God comes from hearing, and hearing, and hearing, and hearing. You must never stop soaking in and thinking upon the thoughts of God.

During these tumultuous times, what are you holding on to? Are you stressed out, feeling like you have to figure it all out, or that you have to protect yourself, or are you trusting God? God is everywhere present, and he is all-powerful. Before the world began, he was thinking about you. You are the greatest desire of his heart, and I assure you, he is not about to let you down now! If you want to love being you, then listen and apply the faith of David.

Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

David chose not to fear because he was confident that God was with him. God has said, “Never will I leave you never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5  My dearest friend, you can be at peace and love being you! Why? Because God’s got this! He loves you and will make a way for you! It is intimately knowing God and his heart towards you that makes you fearless! So, what do people do to know God?…
