WHAT DOES A PERSON DO WHO KNOWS GOD?

Good morning! If you remember, we determined that Jesus was one who truly knew God and did great things. Therefore, he is one we should emulate our lives after. One of the things that Jesus did was cast out devils. I know this may seem scary to some, but it won’t be scary anymore once you understand it. Sometimes we say, “I will leave that up to those other spiritual people to do. I want you to know that driving out demons is not something you do by your willpower or trying hard; it is by faith alone. Satan himself is no match for a little old grandma who knows her God! Any person who knows God and believes his Word is a formidable threat to demonic powers.

When Jesus was in the wilderness was confronted by the devil, he said, “It is written.” Jesus defeated Satan by quoting the Scriptures. Why? It is because the Bible is the highest case law in the universe. There are no case laws that supersede those found in the Word of God. When a demon is to be cast out, it is done in the courts of eternity. To be successful in the court of eternity, a person must bring to bear the highest case law, the Bible, and they will see great victory over the enemy! It is interesting that in Mark 6:15, the first thing Jesus declared about those who believe is that they will cast out demons.

Mark 6:15 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name, they will drive out demons;

Being religious or knowing a lot of Scripture does not access the power of God. No! Faith alone releases God’s power! This is why the Bible says, “And without faith, it is impossible to please God.” Hebrews 11:6  God longs for us to live in the authority he has given us, but that authority is only made possible by faith. Jesus told the disciples, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” Luke 10:19

Christians sometimes fight each other, not realizing that the real problem is the demonic spiritual forces trying to destroy unity. The enemy is always trying to bring about division in the body of Christ, and we must be those who confront him through prayer and declaring the truth of the Word of God!

Ephesians 6:12  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

For the body of Christ, our most exciting days are ahead of us! God is thrilled about watching you put in some demonic powers in their place – under your feet! “His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 3:10 Yes! God is looking forward to you kicking some devil booty! :-) You are God’s masterpiece, and he is getting ready to show you off!

Jesus said, “I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18 The most precious thing to God in all of the universe is his church, his bride! The Bible says, “He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion.” Philippians 1:6 God is very serious about his church, and he will finish the work he started! The manifestation of God in the church will be powerful! The enemy cannot comprehend the glory of what will soon take place! My dear friend, I am praying that your growth in God will bring about great confidence inside of you! I’m praying that you will be bold to do the works of God!
