THOSE WHO KNOW THEIR GOD Part 17

“Those who know their God will be strong and do great things.” Dan 11:32

WHAT DOES A PERSON DO WHO KNOWS GOD?

I’m excited as I contemplate what God has in store for those who will seek his face! Those who know God intimately are the conduits through which heaven invades earth! How exciting! Oh yes! This is my lot in life! Oh God, let it be! I know this is also your cry! There something deep inside of us that longs for the beauty of God to be revealed to this earth!

One of the characteristics of a person who is intimate with God is their compassion for the fatherless and the widow. Apostle James said, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:27 A person filled with the love of God cannot walk by someone who was hurting and not care! James went on to say, “What good is it, my brothers and sisters if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. James 2:14-18

At the center of God’s love is the word give. God so loved the world that he gave his only son. John 3:16 The nature of love is to give. God deeply cares about the fatherless and the widow! God deeply cares about those who are oppressed and have been treated unjustly! Hearts that God’s love has touched are hearts that will respond to the needs of those around them! God calls it “pure and undefiled religion.” It is interesting to me that he only gave two commands. Look after the orphan and the widow and keep yourself from being polluted by the world. The greatest pollution this world has ever known is the pollution of self-righteousness! The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was and still is the enemy’s greatest deception! Remember, “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.” 1 Corinthians 15:56

The most significant revival of all time is getting ready to take place. You will know when it happens because you will see the pure and unadulterated love and compassion of God operating at a level this world has never seen. I am praying for you today and asking God to fill you with his love and compassion! May you live free from self-righteousness! May you live free from condemnation and shame! I am declaring that very soon, the world will see a powerful demonstration of the kingdom of God – the church caring for…
