The Ark of the covenant in Bible days carried the presence of God. Wherever the presence of God went, blessing or destruction also went. The Ark was a blessing for the obedient children of God but a curse for the enemies of God. 

The books of first and second Samuel record the story of the defeat of Israel by the Philistines and the subsequent capturing of the ark of God. When the ark was with the Philistines, it caused destruction, but later, when the ark of God was sent to the house of Obed Edom, the blessing of God came upon him and everything he owned.

2 Sam 6:11 The ark of the LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the LORD blessed him and his entire household.

God’s presence is the same today. The presence of God resides within those who, by faith, have received the truth of Jesus. When they believe, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of them. Those filled with the Holy Spirit of God are blessed as long they continue in the life of faith. Carefully consider the following words of Jesus.

John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing.

Those who abide or live in Christ are those who will bear the fruit of God and therefore bring him glory. Those who live their lives knowing they are righteous because of the blood of Jesus and not because of their works are those who are abiding or remaining in Christ. This amazing state of knowing that you are righteousness in the eyes of God produces the mighty works of God and also his favored blessing.

Psalm 5:12  For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

You are the Ark of God today; the God of the universe lives inside of you.

Col 1:27 To them, God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Absolutely astounding! The presence of Almighty God resides within you and is with you wherever you go. Please don’t ever think that your good works produce this profound relationship with God; faith alone taps a person into the glorious life and power of God! Living in the favor of God is not about a statement of faith but instead a lifestyle of faith.

This hurting world desperately needs a manifestation of the precious presence of God. People need hope, and you are the carrier of the contagious hope and love of God! The purpose and destiny of your life are intimately intertwined with the release of the good news of Jesus to this world! You have a part to play that part can only happen as you, by faith, rest in God’s provision for your righteousness through Jesus.
