The more I study the Bible, the more I am astonished at how technical and advanced it is! Consider these facts. The Bible is not a single book; it is a collection of 66 books and, in 367 A.D., was referred to as the canon of scriptures. These 66 books contain all different styles of writing which include: history, poetry, prophecy, wisdom literature, letters, and apocalyptic writings. These 66 books were written by 40 different authors who came from various backgrounds: shepherds, fishermen, doctors, kings, prophets, and others.

It is striking to consider that these 66 books were written over a period of 1500 years, and many of the authors never collaborated with or even knew one another while writing these books.  Amazingly, these 66 books were written in 3 different ancient languages: Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. Last but not least, these books were written on three different continents: Africa, Asia, and Europe.  Even more impressive is the fact that the Bible was not written by men but by God, who, through his Holy Spirit, gave specific thoughts to men who put those words on paper. Take a look at these Scriptures:

1 Chronicles 28:19 “Every part of this plan,” David told Solomon, “was given to me in writing from the hand of the Lord.” NLT

2 Peter 1:20-21  Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. NIV

2 Timothy 3:16-17  All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. NIV

For most of my life, I have pursued the heart of God through his Word. The more I read it, the more I am blown away by how it all fits together perfectly without a single flaw. The fact that God made all the writings flow together perfectly is overwhelming! Without looking at anything else in the Bible, except to consider that at least 365 prophecies already have been fulfilled regarding Jesus is mind-blowing! There is so much that could be said regarding this! But suffice to say, the more I study, the more I realize that every word, every letter, every number has deep significance and fits together perfectly like a hand in a glove.

Even more, the words of the Bible have the power to produce life and health! Those who rely upon the Holy Spirit to teach them will find its truths to be life-giving and life-changing! Why? Because the words of the Bible are living, indeed, they are God himself in seed form.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1 Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but aof imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.

If a person honestly considers how intricate and interwoven all the truths of the Bible are, they come up with an observable, astounding conclusion…
