The Report about You

Those who genuinely believe God are a powerful force in this world! Those who believe are filled with the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit within them is the power holding back the onslaught of the antichrist and darkness. Wherever they go, the kingdom of God goes, and through them, the life and love of God are released!

Our world is in desperate need, and those who believe God are the answer! Only those who live by faith can display the life and works of God. The word of God is clear; faith alone is what accesses the power of God.

Mark 9:17-27  A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. 18 Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.” 19 “O unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.” 20 So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. 21 Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?” “From childhood,” he answered. 22 “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” 23 “ ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.” 24 Immediately, the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” 25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” 26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently, and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.

It is important to note what Jesus did not say. He did not say everything is possible for me because I’m God – No! He said everything is possible for him (any person) who believes!

The disciples could not cast the devil out of the boy and were perplexed as to why. Later on, when Jesus and the disciples were alone, they asked him why they were unable to cast the devil out. Look at what Jesus said.

Matthew 17:20 He (Jesus) replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Many times people blame God for them not being healed when they were prayed for, but many times it is simply a lack of faith. It is interesting how even Jesus’ability to do miracles was squelched when he was around those who did not believe.

Matthew 13:57-58 When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there. Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown and in his own house is a prophet without honor.”  And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith

There were multiple times when Jesus said, “Your faith has healed you.” In the story above, Jesus said, “everything is possible for him who believes.” It is faith that moves the mighty hand of God and causes great things to happen!

Are you known as a person who lives by faith? Look at what Apostle Paul said regarding the church in Rome.

Rom 1:8 “First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.

Think about it. If someone was to create a report about you, what would they say? Would the word “faith” be mentioned in that report? I fervently contend that the most important word in the Bible is the word believe.

Heb 11:6 And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

God longs to bless us all he is, but his desires are stifled when we don’t genuinely believe him. The grace and love of God are only accessed by those who are humble enough to accept his reality and truth.

My prayer for you today is that faith would arise in your heart! May you, by faith, walk in the power of God, and may you be known as one who truly believes God! Oh, yes! I feel as if I can hear it already! What am I hearing?…
