Walking into Favor

In the word of God, we see multiple people who tapped into supernatural keys that caused them to obtain God’s attention and gain his favor. Here is one of them – Look at this:

Genesis 6:8-9  But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.

Out of all the people in the world, only Noah, his wife, and his children were saved from the destruction that came upon the earth. What was it about Noah’s life that invited such favor? Isaiah 64:6 tells us that all our righteousness is as filthy rags. Galatians 3:11 says that no one is made right with God by obeying the law because the righteous must live by faith!  Evidently, there was something real and personal about Noah’s walk with God. Yes, something caught God’s notice! Galatians 5:16 declares that walking (or living) in the Spirit is what gives us the power to live right! Walking in the Spirit means having an intimate relationship with God by faith. The following Scripture gives us a clear understanding of how Noah walked into the favor of God.

Hebrews 11:7 By faith, Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear, built an ark to save his family. By his faith, he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

Wow! Noah tapped into the righteousness of God that comes from faith! We are talking thousands of years before Jesus came! If Noah was able to tap into it, much more so you and me!

I hope you grasp the reality that God is in love with you and is longing for you to step into the life of his favor! Yes! The blessed life of living in his favor is for you! Walking with God throughout your day is key to stepping into God’s favor! Noah was a man who believed God; he trusted the voice of God and walked with God, i.e., he lived in the Spirit.

I’m sure for most, Noah was considered crazy! Up to this time, it had never rained on the earth, yet Noah was declaring that a crazy amount of rain was coming. Most people were thinking – why in the world is this delusional man building a massive ship on dry land; we all know there is no such thing as rain.

Noah believed the word God had spoken to him and was going about his daily life living in obedience to what God had said – and therein lies the key!

Those who trust God live their daily lives doing what God has spoken to them. God has given you today; don’t wait for something to happen tomorrow in order to choose to trust God! No! Today’s your day! Live today inside that wondrous place of knowing that you are everything God has ever wanted! Like a child, receive that you are God’s greatest passion! Oh, yes! Today must be your day! Do not wait for tomorrow!

As I pray for you today, I am trusting God to give you the wisdom to further separate yourself from the performance-based life and to, like Noah, live in the faith-based life! May you, by faith, go deeper into the life and love of God, and may you, like Noah, spend your day…
