BOLD & STRONG

Being a courageous person is an act of faith not a stroke of genetic luck. Just as God commanded the Israelites to be strong and courageous,  so he is speaking to you today. 

Josh 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Why did Joshua say that they should be strong and courageous?… Was it because they were so strong and powerful? No! It was because the Lord their God would be with them wherever they would go! The secret to this kind of boldness is unqualified surrender to the love of God. We must believe God! Just because you believe that God is with you wherever you go, does not mean that you believe he will protect you unless you know that he loves you. He does love you and he will, in fact, protect you; but this is only tapped into by faith in the love that God has for you. Take a look at what the Scripture says: There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18  

When we surrender to the love of God, no place is left for fear to abide! It’s one thing to read what someone has written, and it is indeed another thing to know the character of the one that wrote it! We must fully trust that when God says he loves us, he means it to the fullest degree! He will never leave you, and he will never forsake you! (Heb 13:5)There is no place where you will go that God is not there with you! He was there before you got there and he will be there after you have passed by. The Bible declares that he is everywhere present; an ever-present help in time of trouble. (Ps 46:1)  Go ahead, be bold! Trust God enough to step out and obey his still, small voice---You'll be amazed at what God will do through you as you trust him! When he speaks to you, you can be sure he will release whatever is necessary for you to finish the assignment. 

2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
