T’was the night before Christmas when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon… AHH... somebody like me has to stop about right there. I don’t know about you, but these kinds of things bring a sense of yuck to my spirit. The beauty of Jesus coming to earth is so precious and holy that is hard for me to stomach those things that try to compete for center stage with him. Christmas is such a glorious time when Jesus is at the center of the festivities! Oh, may Jesus truly be the center of your day today! May you, with Jesus at the center, begin this celebration of our great King! 

(Mt 2:11) On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. (Mt 1:21) She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.

I am thinking of you and praying for you! During this Christmas season, may your worship and thanksgiving to God because of Jesus be so wonderful and meaningful that in later days and months you will speak of this day and this night and say in a new and profound way...
