UNBELIEVABLE WEALTH!
Attempting to comprehend the love of God it is like trying to put all the oceans of the world into a single teaspoon… Simply impossible! The more I know of the love of God, the more blown away I am by his goodness and kindness towards us! I absolutely love this Scripture here in Ephesians.
Eph 1:4-7 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
To think that God was thinking of me before he created the universe is mind blowing! It is almost as if time and space stops. Even more, that he wanted to pay for all my sin and failure so that he could look at me as one who is completely holy and without fault. If that wasn’t enough, he didn’t do it out of duty but rather reconciling us back to himself gave him great pleasure! Wow! Do you get it? This is simply outrageous and off the charts! To me, the love of God is astounding! The thought of him caring about me and us the way he does… words fail to describe the depth of this profound contemplation! The truth of the love of God for us brings a deep enrichment and fulfillment in those who are humble enough to receive it! Sometimes we can hear this truth but not let go enough to let his amazing love actually transform us.
So, I believe it comes down to this… Will we receive it? I understand – yes – it is beyond figuring out! We must humble ourselves to just receive what is beyond our ability to fully comprehend. All the riches of God’s goodness and kindness are available right now! Oh… I am praying for you right now! I pray that you, like a child, will humbly surrender to his amazing love for you!
