YOUR BEST IN MIND!
Do you know that God has your best in mind even when you are having to face difficult trials? One of the secrets to a successful Christian life is knowing how God works. Just like a great coach or trainer, God is preparing you to accomplish extraordinary things, and this will require testing and training. There are three things that God will test if he is going to use your life powerfully; here they are.
Your Work
1 Cor 3:13 NIV “their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.”
Your Faith
Ja 1:2-3 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (See also 1Pet 1:7-9)
Your Promise
He 11:17“By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.””
There are those that believe and even teach that when you become a Christian, God does not purposely take you through any trails. I want you to know that this is simply not the truth
Luke 4:1-2 NLT. “Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan River. He was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where he was tempted by the devil for forty days. Jesus ate nothing all that time and became very hungry.
Luke 4:14-15NLT Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirit’s power. Reports about him spread quickly through the whole region. He taught regularly in their synagogues and was praised by everyone.”
If you look carefully, you will see that Jesus went into the wilderness full of the Holy Spirit but came out of the wilderness in the power of the Holy Spirit. You can be sure that a coach who is preparing his subject for the Olympics will subject him or her to rigorous training. So it is with God! He is longing for you to experience his purpose and glory and true gain only comes with pain. If you understand how God works, You will know that he will test you but only because he is getting ready to launch you into greatness! You don’t have to proceed with caution — boldly run towards what God has told you to do, being confident that the trials that you are facing will end up for your good – because he has…
