This is a clear and precious depiction of the heart of someone who feels absolutely loved by God! those who run to God are those who feel loved and forgiven by him. No one will continue to run to something they constantly feel condemned by!
This is why many run away from God and church; they never had an encounter with the true love and forgiveness of God. The kind of Christianity these people found was a bunch of hoops to jump through that they found themselves consistently failing at! This is why many go to church and wonder why it never works for them. Wow!
Experiencing the love of God is so close to the humble and surrendered but yet so far away from those who try to feel righteous by doing the right things. May we surrender to the amazing love and forgiveness of God! This surrender is what causes people to experience the righteousness of God living through them. Those who surrender to the love and forgiveness of God, like a child, will end up with this same heart of love and desperation we see in the Scriptures above!
The blood of Jesus has paid for all your failures and mistakes and therefore you have been declared righteous… as righteous as God himself! WOW! May you rest in him and his provision as your total answer! Oh yes, being "for real” means, for real, childlike, surrender to the truth of God’s love and grace, and the childlike faith to simply rest in it! I am praying for you today – it is time to Let Go! It is time to Let Go and Let God...
