THE LOWEST PLACES!

When God called people to great leadership positions, they were typically not serving at a palace or in a governor's court. Typically they were serving at one of the lowest positions of occupation.

Exodus 3:1  Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father- in- law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
1 Samuel 16:11 So he asked Jesse, “Are these all the sons you have?” “There is still the youngest,” Jesse answered, “but he is tending the sheep.” Samuel said, “Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives.”

Both of these men were game changers for the nation of Israel and were serving at the lowest place when they were called by God. Holy Spirit power starts with being willing to serve at the lowest place! Jesus said, "The greatest among you will be your servant." (Mat 23:11) It is critical that we have a true servants heart, willing to do the lowest task! Many times it means being the one to make the bed or do the dishes or take out the garbage etc. It is easier to sit back and wait for someone else to do that lowly task, but it is the heart of God to step up to the plate and be a blessing!
