IF YOU CAN
During Jesus's day, there was a man in desperate need – his son was possessed by a demon causing him to have seizures, throwing him into the fire and into the water trying to kill him. In desperation, he cried out to Jesus saying, "Have mercy on us and help us if you can.” Wow!... Listen to the amazing response of Jesus –
Mark 9:23 “ ‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.”
Notice, Jesus did not say, "anything is possible for me because I'm the son of God and I believe"... No, he said, "ANYTHING is possible if any person believes”... and that means you and me! If you remember the story Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, then you will recall that after Jesus told them to remove the stone, Martha tried to dissuade Jesus because Lazarus had been in the grave four days and would already be smelling foul. I Look at what Jesus said to her.
Jn 11:40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
God is looking for those who will believe him! Ministry must not be about us–we can do nothing without the power of God! We must relinquish all hope and trust in our selves and put all of our faith in our faithful God and his power! It is time for us to believe God and God alone! It is time for great things to flow through you and me! May our hearts be so filled with faith in our faithful God that we would never say to God…
