ETERNAL LOVE!
Someone once said, “They don’t care what you know until they know that you care.” An often quoted line that is generally attributed to Francis of Assisi says, "Preach the gospel, and if necessary, use words.” I think that we could all agree that the greatest declaration of God on earth is the actions of man that accurately articulate his love! Look at what the Holy Spirit says in these Scriptures:
Heb 6:10-11 (NLT) For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.
John 13:34-35 (NLT) So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
Remember, Love comes from God! (1Jn4:7) Whenever we operate in the kind of love that gives without expectations and is committed for life, we are operating in something that only comes from God! 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.
The world is longing for a demonstration of the true God! If we would be an extension of God’s love to each other, the world would see that he is real! Oh, that we would surrender to the love of God! Oh, that we would let go of our striving and enter into his loving rest!
