KNOW THE PASSWORD!
Kings and presidents have bodyguards and military personnel to protect them at all times. No one enters a king’s palace without being invited and without knowing the proper protocol. Just as there is a protocol that must be followed for a natural kingdom so there is with the spiritual kingdom of God. There is a protocol and a unique password that must be used to enter the King's palace and come to his throne. King David knew about protocol and gaining favor with The King, and In the following verses, he gave us powerful clues for entering into the very throne room of God.
Psalms 100:4-5 Enter his gates with Thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Ps 118:19-20 Open for me the gates of righteousness; I will enter and Give Thanks to the LORD.
THIS IS THE GATE of the LORD through which the righteous may enter.
Wow!...Want to enter? This is the time…This is the season! What a day… Today is your opportunity to enter! Praising God and giving him thanks is a powerful key that unlocks the Kings gates. When things are difficult it is easy to worry and complain, but it is during these times that a sacrifice of praise is necessary and will bring the salvation of God for you.
Ps 50:23 He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way that I may show him the salvation of God.
Whenever I hear the word sacrifice, I know something has to die. It is so critical that we die to our natural tendencies of worry and fear which leads to complaining and instead, choose the life of faith that results in praise and thanksgiving to God! God has powerful things ahead for you! He is looking for you to trust him enough to open up your mouth to thank him and praise him. The king wants to spend some special time with you!
