A LIVING REALITY
There is a lot of need all around us; a lot of people who genuinely need to see the reality of Jesus! Jesus told us to pray that the Lord of the harvest would send forth laborers into this harvest field for, he said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” (Lk 10:2)
In Matthew 28 the Lord gave us the commission to go to all the world and make disciples.
Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. (ESV)
So what does it look like to be a minister or ambassador of Christ? What should we be doing to advance the gospel around the world?
Matthew 25:37-40 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’“And the King will say, ' I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’(NLT)
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise(NIV1984)
What did Jesus life look like? What did Jesus do? It is time for us as the body of Christ to rise up and be Jesus to our world! We need to be the living reality of Jesus on this earth! I believe a lot of the world is saying, “Will the real God please stand.” You and I are called to be living witnesses of what Jesus is really like… Are you one of His laborers? Father help us!!!
