THE FOURTH CHARACTERISTIC OF A DREAMER

Being a planner is the fourth characteristic of the dreamer.

Proverbs 16:1 To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue. ."

God has put the responsibility of planning upon us. God expects us to take what we have and create a plan for increase. Every dreamer must have a dream and clearly defined goals. Knowing what your dreams and goals should be, come from spending time in the presence of God and listening to his heart for you. To reach those goals that God has given you, you must visualize them completed and at the state of perfection. Always remember this, "The price of your future is your present." You must take the time to plan today to create a wonderful tomorrow! Every person needs long-term and short-term goals. It is of utmost importance to write down those goals. Simply writing them down triggers the mind to begin to facilitate a successful strategy to bring about their completion. Remember, "A short pencil is much better than along memory." Someone once said, "If we fail to plan, we have planned to fail."

Proverbs 16:9 in his heart a man plans his course, the Lord determines his steps.

Proverbs 19:21 many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

God wants us to be just like him and he is a God who plans! For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 

New Year’s resolutions create a lot of guilt and shame because most people fail at carrying out those goals within the first couple of weeks. It is much better to make a plan for the wonderful things you would like to accomplish. Yes, have long-term goals but focus on the next three months while putting your energy into your current week and most of all, your present day. It is your daily habits that will determine how far you can go. 

Maybe you have made goals and plans before but never focused on them to bring about their completion. This is your year to leave the safe zone and enter the faith zone! If you want to grow, you will have to go! This is your year to create a plan for real success! This is your year to prosper like never before!
