Would you believe me if I told you that there is a recipe for a life of winning? I want you to know that being an overcomer is our birthright as children of God! God is a conqueror, and he wants his kids to live just like him! Being a conqueror is not about trying hard but rather about believing! 

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world 

1Jn 5:4-5 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 

In Matthew chapter 17, after the disciples were unsuccessful at casting the demon out of a boy, they were confused and asked Jesus why they were unable to cast the demon out. This is what Jesus said to them: "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’” Mat 17:20 When we, with a childlike heart, accept the truth of God's good news for us, we become empowered because faith begins to be our way of living! I often say that the most important word in the Bible is the word “believe.” You can access everything God has for you through believing! Churches are filled with unbelieving “believers.” Apostle James speaks of this by saying, “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. James 1:6-8 

So how are we supposed to grow in faith? 

Romans 10:17 declares," Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” 

Romans 12:2 also speaks of this by saying, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.” 

Yes, you can become someone that others only dream about by getting a hold of your thoughts and making them line up with God’s word. Those who believe, step into the life God longs for us to experience! Remember, God is not impressed with our righteousness. He is impressed with our faith. 

I am praying for you as I write this word to you today. May the faith of God rise within you! May you firmly decide to take control of your thought life, making it line up with God’s precious thoughts towards you as found in his word. The following is the RECIPE FOR A LIFE OF WINNING:

Do you want to win in life? Think the right thoughts! Do you want to walk on top of those things that would try to drown you? Think the right thoughts! What you allow to dominate your thought processes will determine your future. What you think about the most will determine your level of faith.
