THE RACE HAS BEGUN!

Some have said that timing is everything. When an athlete is getting ready to compete in an Olympic race, being tired is not an option. Likewise, as we see biblical prophecy being fulfilled on the earth and are aware of being in the final moments of God’s timetable, prayerlessness is not an option.

Before Jesus sealed the deal on the devil's fate and procured our eternal freedom, he was in the garden of Gethsemane preparing to run his final race. At this epic moment in his life, Jesus deemed prayer as of utmost importance. Jesus had implored his disciples to also pray, but they were sleepy and could not stay awake.

Mark 14:37-40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Simon," he said to Peter, "are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." Once more he went away and prayed the same thing. 40 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. They did not know what to say to him.

We are in the final hour of God's purpose and the defining moments of our life's purpose on Earth. The apostle Peter said it like this: “The end of all things is near, therefore be clear-minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.” 1 Pet 4:7 This is the time for the body of Christ to awake from our sleepiness and pray! The hour has come for us to walk in the fullness of God. Let us put off slumber and be about our Father's business. Much prayer, much power – More prayer, more power – No prayer, no power! Jesus is coming again. We must not be found sleeping! Arise…
