YOUR FAVORITE DAY

Can you think back to a time where you experienced something so good that you would say, “That was the best day ever?” What was it like? If you were going to dream about “the best day ever,” what would it be like? What would you do? There are so many things to do and so much time! YES! 

Maybe it would be some time at the beach, a sightseeing adventure in a helicopter, a shopping spree or even a hike to one of the most beautiful and serene places you’ve ever been. But I would bet, more than anything, you would like to spend that special time with the love of your life! Oh yes, I knew it! –in the arms of your love; walking along the beach, hiking to that most beautiful place, etc. – talking, holding hands, etc. etc. etc. King David understood precious times like this, and this is how he described what he loved the most. 

Psalm 63:1-3 O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.  I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.  Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.  

Psalm 84:10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. 

Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. 

Carefully consider King David’s greatest desire? Look carefully at what his “favorite day” looked like. Once you taste of the ecstasy he was describing in the Scriptures above, no love can compare. That is the love of God! What is most impressive about this scenario is that the love of your life, God, wants to be with you more than you’ve ever wanted to be with someone. He wants to hold you in a way you’ve never been held! He wants to touch you in a way you've never been touched! He wants to love you in a way you've never been loved!  

God longs for you to experience his precious and passionate feelings he has for you! You are the temple God dwells in – you are his sanctuary! He wants some intimate moments with you, moments that will blow your mind! Wow! Do you get it? Think about it… … … … Do you really? If so, then Go Ahead! Today is your day! It’s time for you to experience…
