ANOINTED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND POWER!
Many times, we think that Jesus did miracles because he was God. But it is essential to note that Jesus did miracles only because God anointed him. The anointing, Jesus had, came at a price and did not show up in his life until he was 30 years old. Look at what this scripture says.
Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil because God was with him.
There is no record of Jesus doing miracles until He had done three things.
1- 30 years of being submitted to his parents.
2- Baptism by John. (God's spiritual authority of the hour)
3- Led into the wilderness by the Spirit of God to be tested and tried.
In the Bible, olive oil speaks the Holy Spirit and his anointing. Olive oil is obtained through the crushing of the olive. This is similar to the process needed for a person who will be used mightily by God. The anointing inside of a person is for them, but the anointing upon a person is for others. Understand this, if Jesus needed a process, what about you and I!? No one rightfully enters a higher level of education unless he passes the required tests. So, Jesus went through the tests required to declare him the author of salvation.
Heb 5:8-10 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
The anointing of God only comes through the process of crushing the self-centered, self-trusting part of man and thereby releasing the power of the Spirit. The miraculous power of God will also be released in and through your life when you are willing to be submitted, baptized, and filled with the Holy Spirit. You must then be prepared through testing and trial. Apostle Peter understood this process and here are his divinely inspired words.
1Pet 1:6-9 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
Look at apostle James words on this:“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4
Don't despise the trials that you're facing! Embrace them! They have been allowed by God and are part of the process that will bring you into the fullness of God’s purpose for your life.
I am praying for you today that you, by faith, are embracing the trials of your life as opportunities to grow. I am also praying that, by faith, you are leaving self-trust behind and are replacing it with complete trust in the grace of God! Today, by faith, I declare that you are headed for great manifestations of the power of God and that you, like Jesus, are…
