THE HAND OF THE LORD UPON YOU!
Our world is experiencing tremendous suffering, turmoil, and pain, and the body of Christ is God’s only answer. Sometimes it seems as if the church is asleep. Have you felt powerless against the raging storm of pain and hurt that surrounds you? God has a great plan to touch this world, and he wants to empower you to release his love, healing, and forgiveness!
The Scriptures give us many examples of the prosperity and powerful exploits that occurred through those who had the hand of the Lord upon them. Like Jabez who cried out to God and God answered his prayer.
1 Chronicles4:10 Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.
Another example is found in the book of acts when the disciples of Christ were scattered because of the persecution in connection with Stephen.
Acts11:21 The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.
Having the hand of God upon you will cause God's purpose, favor,blessing and power to be upon you and flow through you! So, what causes God’s hand to be upon you?
Psalms 37:5-6 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.
Psalms 50:23 He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me,
and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.”
Committing your life fully to God and trusting him completely is the beginning of stepping into all that God has for you. We can see clearly in Scripture that it is faith that moves the hand of God and causes miracles to happen. It is faith that causes a person to do amazing things – rising high above the norm and releasing heaven on earth!
Please don’t ever think that this kind of anointing and power is something that you can produce with willpower or personal effort. This kind of anointing only comes from childlike faith in God and what he has done for us through Jesus Christ! Those who are going to have the glory of God’s power, anointing, and blessing flowing in and through them will be those who have the following attributes:
They believe that God is in them and all around them.
They believe that because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, they are loved, forgiven and free.
They believed that this God that is in them and all around them sees them as perfect, (because of the blood of Jesus) completely adores them and has their best interest in mind.
They believe that because they are loved, forgiven, and free that God is on their side – they cannot lose, and their best is yet to come.
To be sure, God has already provided everything we need for life and godliness. 2 Peter 1:3 all he needs is for you to believe Him! He is more loving than you can fathom and longs to bless you more than you want to be blessed! So what should be your response? Let go and believe him today! Surrender to his unseen reality! Surrender to the fact that God is all around you, and you and loves you tremendously!
The powerful works of God are not available to those who trust in their own efforts or abilities – this is for those who are humble enough to receive what they cannot physically see! Don’t ever be misled, thinking that you are waiting on God… No – God is waiting on you! God is ready… Are you? Life is heading your way; the world needs a display of the reality of God, and you are God’s chosen masterpiece! It is your time to experience the glory of having…
