WILL THE REAL GOD PLEASE STAND?
The world desperately needs a clear demonstration of the reality of God! Anyone can turn over a new leaf and try hard to be good enough, but when God shows up, "God-things" happen! When God shows up the confusion ceases and the multitudes run to the scene. The blind see.The deaf hear.The lame walk.The dead are raised, and God's precious love is delivered to mankind.
Matthew 11:5 The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.
God longs to show his healing and delivering power to those who are hurting, broken and bound. God is looking for those who will live in intimacy with him and through whom the world can experience his reality!
Acts 14:3 So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to do miraculous signs and wonders.
Acts 5:15-16 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.
Hebrews 13:8 tells us that, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." God is looking for those who genuinely want to be on his team, those who are willing to lose everything for his sake! Apostle Paul was a living demonstration of what it looks like to be wholeheartedly devoted to Christ, and this is what he said:
Philippians 3:7-11 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in a Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. 10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
The power of God flows through those who live in intimacy with God! The prophet Daniel said, “Those who know their God will be strong and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32
Knowing, or being intimate with, God is the secret to a life that displays his power and glory! There have been many people throughout history who walked in intimacy with God and, therefore, were vessels God could use to display his power and his glory. May today be a step closer for you into a life that is intimate with God because the world is asking….
