THE EASY WAY REALLY ISN'T THE EASY WAY ANYWAY!

There is nothing genuinely worth getting that is easy! Anyone who says achieving greatness is easy is lying! No doubt about it–greatness requires doing hard things. From losing weight to getting physically fit, to being successful in business, to having a successful marriage--this all requires hard work! To do anything that produces real life, you will have to work hard!

Matthew 7:13-14   “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. (NLT)

1 Corinthians 9:24-27  Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25  Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26  Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 27  No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. Those who choose the "couch potato" way of living find out that poverty, obesity, purposelessness, depression, and hopelessness will chase them down!

Prov 20:4 Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest.

Prov 12:24  Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor. (NIV)

You can be sure, greatness comes to those who are willing to do hard things. Success is not a stroke of luck but rather a choice to pursue with diligence what God has told you to do. How about it? Are you ready to grab life by the horns and do some hard work? God wants to come alongside your hard work and launch you into his blessing! As you go, just keep this in the back of your mind…
