​UNQUENCHABLE THIRST!

The closer one gets to God the more the desire to be closer still. There is something unusual that happens when a person begins to experience what it is like to drink in the precious presence of God! The overwhelming and awesome experience begs for more and inspires an even deeper craving and thirst for another encounter! Once you’ve tasted, an internal burning cries out for more and for deeper intimacy with the King of all Kings and the Lord of all Lords! King David was someone who knew what I’m talking about and here is how he explained it. 

Psalm 42:1-2(NIV)  As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

Psalm 84:2(NIV)  My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

Psalm 63:1-8(NIV)  O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.  I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.  Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.  I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. 

To experience the precious beauty of intimacy with God in this way is an indescribable gift from God, the giver of all true life! This experience is for everyone, but not everyone knows how far and how deep it can take them. This is the answer to the body of Christ! We have a lot of head knowledge but very little true experience! I’m praying for you today… May today be your day to step into a new world that's, deeper, higher, wider and more beautiful than you’ve ever known! May a supernatural hunger and thirst for more intimacy with God be yours!
