THE LITTLE THINGS

Do you want, or are you pursuing something great? Understand this, greatness is born out of the willingness to be faithful with a little! Many times we have wanted to do something big for God while ignoring the LITTLE THINGS he was asking us to do. Like being in the Word, tithing, being faithful in prayer, serving in his church, loving those around us and just believing when life makes no sense. Listen to the words of Jesus, they are your key to breakthrough!

Luke 16:10-15 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. 11  And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? 12  And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own? 13  “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” 14  The Pharisees, who dearly loved their money, heard all this and scoffed at him. 15  Then he said to them, “You like to appear righteous in public, but God knows your hearts. What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God.

With God, it is the little things that count! In this parable, God is talking specifically about money, but it applies in all areas. God tests our hearts to see if we will put him first in the seemingly insignificant things. This is how he knows he can trust us with the big things. If you will work hard for minimum wage, you will assuredly work hard for ten times that amount. Your everyday life is where you will be tested. It is the little choices of working out, showing up on time, being willing to give a little more than what is expected, etc. that makes all the difference. We must realize that even in our money we must put God first. One of the most reliable ways to test where a person’s love for God is, is to see if they are putting God first with their money. Jesus said, “Where your treasure (money) is, there will your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21

Does God come first in your time, your passion, your money, etc? The price of your future is your present! May you be faithful with the LITTLE THINGS God has given you and watch the blessing of God overtake you. Are you ready for God to do something great through your life?.... Yes?  Excellent!
