YOU'RE THE ONE WHOSE FAVORED!
God chose the Jews because of the faith of their forefather Abraham. Faith has been and still is the motivating factor that causes God's favor to be released on one’s behalf. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Heb 11:6 God has always shown favor towards his very own, those who believe him. And guess what? If you, like Abraham, have put your faith in God, then the work of circumcision by the Holy Spirit has been done in you. And, you also are God’s very own! Consider this powerful Scripture.
Romans 2:28-29 A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. 29 No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man’s praise is not from men, but from God.
Circumcision of the heart is the work of the Holy Spirit. This happens in the life of one who no longer trusts and their own righteousness but fully trusts in God’s provision through Jesus Christ. When we put our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, his Holy Spirit comes and lives inside of us. When this happens, a cutting way of fleshly living happens, circumcision. This gives us a new passion for God and all that he is! I want you to know that living by faith is what you were created for!
The word of God tells us that we can come boldly to the throne of grace to find mercy and help in time of need. Heb 4:16 In other words, God wants you to come to him and ask because he is anxiously waiting to release his favor upon you! God is longing for deeper intimacy with you! The way you tap into this intimacy is by believing! You can never work this up – you must soak it up! This is accessed by faith and faith alone, nothing complicated just childlike faith!
