EXPENSIVE
Something rare, or hard to come across, is usually costly. If you could obtain something that would protect you, watch over you, exalt you and honor you, it would indeed be priceless. Something like this would be so valuable that it would be worth losing everything to gain. Consider what King Solomon said regarding this thought.
Prov 4:6-7 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you.
God, the creator of all things, wants to give you this priceless wisdom. God paid the ultimate price for you to tap into his eternal wisdom. He sent Jesus Christ to free you from the things that hinder you from living in heaven’s success – the law. The word righteousness means right standing with God. The price that was paid so that you could be in right standing with God was immense! The value God places on you is beyond anything you can fully grasp. If you can handle this thought – you are everything God has ever wanted! He sacrificed everything so that he could have you! It is mind-blowing and almost beyond belief that he considers us that valuable!
We must grasp the truth that God is in love with us and wants to give us all that he is! It is like having billions of dollars in the bank, and the only thing necessary to access it is to believe that it is there, and go get it.
