IT IS BECOMING YOU!

The purpose of the seventh day of creation was for us to understand what God wants for us, and that is rest. God, all along, has wanted us to live in the freedom of his rest. Listen to this stark warning from God.

Hebrews 3:6-14 NLT But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ. That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness. There your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw my miracles for forty years. So I was angry with them, and I said, ‘Their hearts always turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’ So in my anger, I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest.’” Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

Later in this chapter, we understand that it was unbelief that kept them from entering the most blessed and surreal place of God – the place of his rest. "So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief." Heb 3:19

Carefully consider this next statement! Your Christianity is all about what you believe, and everything else follows! Many people are trying to do the works of God but have never yet truly believed. Believing God means that you enter the rest of God, no more shame, condemnation, worry, or fear! In John chapter 6, they came to Jesus and asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” Jn 6:28–29

If you sincerely want to please God, you must choose to be childlike enough to believe what God has said in his Word and, therefore, his provision through Jesus Christ! This alone is what pleases God! See Heb 11:6. This is so important and so powerful! My prayer and declaration over your life today is that you are hearing this powerful truth, and …
