FOREVER AND ALWAYS
When I was young, the old hymns didn’t mean much to me. Later on, as I grew in my relationship with God, I began to love and be inspired by those songs. I am encouraged by the love of God more than ever before. Here is an old hymn that speaks of its glory so clearly!
“The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen could ever tell; It goes beyond the highest star, and reaches to the lowest hell. The guilty pair (Adam and Eve) bowed down with care; God gave his Son to win. His erring child He reconciled and pardoned from his sin.
Could we with ink the ocean fill and were the skies of parchment made. Were every stalk on earth a quill and every man a scribe by trade. To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry; nor could the scroll contain the whole though stretched from sky to sky.
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure—The saints’ and angels’ song.”
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.
WOW! Unquestionably astounding! I have never been so touched and empowered by the reality of the love of God as I am now! It indeed goes beyond anything I’ve ever known and is more than I could ever write or tell! You can be sure that God will never leave you or forsake. There is nothing in all of the universe that can separate you from his love.
This one thing I know. The God who spoke the worlds into existence is seriously in love with you and me! I can assure you that his love is not fickle and does not change! This love for you is truly…
