YOU HAVE TO KNOW YOU’RE LOVED!

There is one command that stands head and shoulders above the rest. It is the command to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

If Jesus would’ve left out the word “ALL,” it would have been possible for us to fulfill that first and greatest commandment. But, since the word “ALL” is there, we are up a creek without a paddle. To love God with all is an impossibility and Jesus knew it when he said it. There is only one way to fulfill the righteousness of all God's commands, and it is not by our effort. The only way to fulfill the righteous commands of God is to receive his love and the provision of righteousness through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “If you love me, you will obey what I command.” John 14:15

Again, if God would have left out the word ”all,” maybe we would have had a chance… This is the first and greatest of the commandments – not the third, the fourth or the 10th! Obeying this commandment is not optional, yet it is impossible for us without God living that righteousness through us! The only way to fulfill the righteous requirements of the law is to accept that all of our failures are paid for and that we have been granted a perfect standing with God! This means that you are loved! When you know God loves you, the love of God will flow through you. And all the righteous requirements of the law will be met in you.

Romans 13:8-10 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.

Knowing that you're loved by God changes everything! It is the people who are hurt, who hurt people, and it is people who are loved, who love people. When you know that you're loved, love naturally flows through you. When you know you are loved by God, everything changes. If you want to live in all that God has created for you,

YOU HAVE TO KNOW YOU’RE LOVED!
