FULL OF IT!

Titles can be deceiving. The book of Acts speaks of a man who never had the title of apostle, yet great wonders and miraculous signs flowed through his life.

There were those who fought against him, who said that he was out of his mind and “full of it.” And I would agree that he was full of it (full of Him). He was full of the Holy Spirit! He was so full of the Holy Spirit that he spoke with such clarity and authority that those who opposed him could not stand up against his wisdom or the Spirit by whom he spoke. Look at this Scripture:

Acts 6:8-10 NIV Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people. Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called) –Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia. These men began to argue with Stephen, but they could not stand up against his wisdom or the Spirit by whom he  spoke.

Many times, people get caught up in titles or positions while missing the very purpose of their existence. Many years ago, God spoke to me and told me never to pursue a microphone, title or position. Instead, he told me to pursue his anointing and presence in my life. God said if I would pursue his anointing through intimacy with him that positions of authority and responsibility would chase me. Titles are not as important as the purpose and power of a person’s mission!

I believe you will agree with me on this one – As long as the love and power of our amazing and precious Holy Spirit is flowing through you, you would be happy, along with Stephen, to be labeled as one who is…
