TODAY IS THE LORD’S DAY!
There is something about being in the right place, at the right time. Are you where God wants to be? Do you know that supernatural favor is released when you are where God wants you to be when he wants you to be there? Unusual events happen, and life-changing connections are made when people are in the right place at the right time! Apostle John understood this firsthand! He said, “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet.” Revelation 1:10
It was a Sunday, and apostle John was doing what he always did on Sunday – worship God! It was during those moments that his supernatural encounter with the Spirit of the Lord happened! Today is a day for meeting with the people of God! Especially with Covid 19, there are plenty of reasons why we don’t get out of our comfort zone and worship with other believers! I believe that the enemy is doing everything he can to cause people to grow cold towards God during this time! When we see all that is going on in the earth, it is more important than ever to press into the things of God!
Hebrews 10:25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
A couple thousand years ago, a group of believers met together on the Lord’s day (Sunday) and were praying and worshiping when the Holy Spirit fell and changed the course of all of history! (see Acts 2) God is the one who instituted church, and he wants you to be a part of it! There is no such thing as a perfect church or pastor! As a pastor, I’ll be the first to say that my church and I definitely fit into that category! God does not want you to go to a perfect church, but instead wants to perfect the church you are and are a part of! God uses people who make mistakes to do his work – and you are one of them!
God’s Holy Spirit shows up, and supernatural power is available when people come together by faith in the name of Jesus! Jesus said, “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” Mt 18:20 It is where imperfect people come into unity and, by faith, celebrate our perfect God that unparalleled power and blessing show up!
Ps 133:1-3 How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! 2 It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. 3 It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there, the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
God not only wants to talk to you and bless you today but wants to use you to love somebody and encourage somebody! I know with all the regulations that it is difficult to get together. I also know that we must be prudent regarding this virus. During these tumultuous times, it is of utmost importance to do everything you can to stay connected to the body of Christ! I know the internet is not like being together face-to-face. Still, we must use every means possible to encourage one anotheer.
My question to you is, are you fully utilizing the opportunities you have to connect? Today is a very important day to the Creator of the universe, your Heavenly Father! Do whatever you possibly can to get involved because…
